Every now and then, it's time for a re-evaluation of who you are, how you present your work and yourself, and how that aligns with who you want to be.
How I present myself online now is all based on choices from a lifetime ago: life in the games industry goes incredibly fast, and my goals and aspirations in work & life have shifted. While I will always be a game developer at heart, I have to accept that many of you know me not as 50% of Vlambeer, but as an industry ambassador, a public speaker, a game development consultant, a visible Muslim online, a writer of words or a guest on your favorite podcasts or livestreams, the creator of Meditations, the Executive Director of gamedev.world, the developer of presskit(), the guy with the mom that plays games, or just as that one loud person on Twitter.
So: it's time for something new. That 'new' isn't quite ready yet, but I absolutely and definitively broke my website preparing for the transition. Don't worry, the most important content that was on my site will be back & I personally won't be changing, either.
When everything is done, I'll be able to look and feel a little bit more like me, the way I am today. For now, you can find me on & & - or reach me at [email protected]ail.com. I think it'll turn out nice.
Thank you for your patience,
Rami
